Reducing copper levels for pigs to 25 mg/kg for all age groups, as suggested in an FEEDAP Panel Opinion from 2016 is not realistic. But fortunately, the European Commission listened to the feed industry experts from FEFAC, who proposed a more realistic plan, taking both the environment and animal performance and health into consideration.
