Nowadays, we are able to give a targeted response to a new way of feeding animals.
Nutraceutical product: the term was first used in 1989 by the doctor Stephen De Felice, who joined two words “nutrition” and “pharmaceutical” to indicate a new sector of research, which studies and recognises in certain foods and substances of natural origin, true functional and medicinal properties.
A Neutraceutical product is the active ingredient, i.e. the biological substance which possesses rebalancing, preventive and protective properties, even though the food alone or with a supplement containing these functional substances is also defined as such.
